Aileen Merino
Board Member
Aileen is the Policy Director at Stono Public Affairs and previously served as Political Director for U.S. Senate Candidate Patricia Campos-Medina, the first Latina to run for federal office in New Jersey. She has also worked as a Campaign Coordinator for the Middlesex County Democratic Organization and with Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman, leading district outreach and an immigration advisory council.

In the non-profit sector, Aileen was a Programs Assistant for the Latino Action Network Foundation, focusing on school desegregation and census outreach. At Rider University, she conducted research that led to the creation of the school’s first 2,100 sq. ft. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Center.

Aileen also works with the New Brunswick Education Foundation to support BIPOC students and serves as College Caucus Chair for the New Jersey Young Democrats and a board member for LANF.
